Nestled in a
beautiful little valley at the foot of Mt Hood, surrounded by
miles and miles of amber fields of wheat, emerald fields of
alfalfa, abundant orchards and vineyards, is one of Oregon's most
delightful and friendly small communities. Join us as we
experience a day filled with a myriad of photographic
opportunities.
We will, wind our way through flowing
fields of grain and alfalfa, stopping periodically to photograph
beautifully preserved turn-of-the century homesteads,
deteriorating wooden grain silos, dilapidated barns, an abandoned
school, and animals -- some domestic, others wild.

The photography
instruction and assistance you'll receive in the field will
emphasize elements of visual design, and how they are used to
create the essence of an expressive image. Whether you're
using wide angle, macro, normal or telephoto lenses, an artistic
interpretation of the region is well within your reach.
This workshop is
open to those with a working knowledge of their equipment and a
basic understanding of photography. Any camera type or medium
(film, slide or digital) is welcome however a tripod is
essential. We hope you'll join us to photographically honor
this regions history, celebrate the crop just harvested, document
the lifestyle of the early settlers, and to get acquainted with
some of the 600 residents of this delightful farming community.
